My educational philosophy is one of growth and development. Not only do I profess to fill the students’ minds with knowledge, but also with the tools necessary to become successful beyond the walls of school. My desire is to make students better, happier, more confident, and more successful individuals because of the time they have shared with me. In essence, I hope to make a contribution to the person they will become.

Currently pursuing certification in Reality Therapy and Choice Theory through the William Glasser Institute.
Participated in MDE Project-Based Learning Workshop November 2011.
Participated in Geometry EMATHS Spring of 2011 offered by TBA-ISD.
Participated in the Algebra for All Year Two through TBA-ISD and WM-ISD Spring 2011.
Participated in the Algebra II EMATHS Summer of 2010 and Reconnecting opportunity Spring 2012 offered by TBA-ISD.
Participated in the Algebra for All Professional Development Summer of 2009 and EMATHS Reconnecting Spring2012 offered by TBA-ISD.
Participated in the Inquiry Based Learning Professional Development through TBA-ISD Spring 2009.
Accomplishments:
Received a TBA-ISD Classroom Grant Winter 2012 for implementation of ALEX software for a math interventions course.
Created and implemented GTA Frost Fest--annual secondary wide winter festival.
Began GTA Cheer Program starting winter season of 2009-2010.
Collaborated with TBA-ISD to create Michigan Algebra I Moodle Course January 2011.
Collaborated with TBA-ISD to create Michigan Geometry Moodle Course Summer 2012.
Helped to write the TBA-ISD multiple choice Algebra and Geometry End of Course Assessments Summer of 2007.
Experience teaching single-gender classroom environment for Algebra I.
Community Involvement:
Volunteer of the Forest Area Band Program 2011-Present.
4th of July Silent Auction Chairperson at Fife Lake Public Library and Friends of the Library former President.
